Phonics Teacher

The subject teacher is responsible for providing education and guidance to students. They design and implement lesson plans, develop instructional materials, assess student performance, and provide feedback to students and parents.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure the unit plans, resources, and assessments are being utilized and following the written curriculum
  • Organize subject-specific events, and create and maintain evidence of all the curricular requirements for the review
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed on time and review them before submission 
  • Ensure that the assessments maintain the standard and strand requirements
  • Make sure that the units and topics are aligned vertically
  • Prepare a list of books, journals, and other online resources for student use
  • Ensure that the subscribed resources are utilized by colleagues with data and timelines.
  • Supervising or conducting clubs
  • Supervision on school trips

Academic Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Education in related field
  • Teaching Qualifications/ Teaching Certificate is an added advantage
  • 2 years teaching experience is an added advantage
  • Experience in an international school
  • Cambridge experience is an added advantage
