ACORNS International School is looking for a Swimming Instructor Assistant to support swimming lessons for primary and secondary students by assisting the instructor, supervising learners, ensuring pool safety, and helping students develop basic swimming skills and confidence. 

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

  •   Assist the Swimming Instructor in planning and delivering swimming lessons.
  •  Ensuring activities are appropriate for different age groups and skill levels.
  •   Supervise students in and around the swimming pool, maintaining a safe learning environment and ensuring compliance with pool safety rules and school procedures.
  •   Support students during lessons,
  • Assist with the preparation, setup, storage and maintenance of         Swimming equipment and learning materials before and after lessons.
  •   Monitor student attendance, report any safety concerns or incidents to the Swimming Instructor

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:


    • Education
      • Minimum of a secondary school certificate (A2 or equivalent preferred).
      • Additional training in sports, physical education, or coaching is an advantage.
    • Swimming Ability
      • Strong personal swimming skills and confidence in water.
      • Ability to demonstrate basic swimming techniques.
    • Safety & First Aid Knowledge
      • Basic understanding of water safety rules.
      • First Aid and CPR certification is highly desirable (or willingness to obtain it).
    • Experience
      • Previous experience assisting in swimming lessons, sports coaching or child supervision is an added advantage.
    • Personal Skills
      • Good communication skills with children and adolescents.
      • Patient, responsible, and able to maintain discipline and safety in a pool environment.
